Site Terms

Version 2026. Short and in plain English: read this before you rely on anything on this site or buy anything from us.

Scope

Detector Atlas publishes research-based guides about metal detector coil compatibility and troubleshooting. The content is informational. We hold no licence in any regulated field, and nothing here is professional advice for your particular situation.

Accuracy and change

We can promise the research was done and the sources were real when the page was written. We cannot promise the price is still that, that the model is still sold, or that the maker has not changed something since. Check the details that would cost you money before you act on them, and if a page is out of date, our contact page is the fastest way to tell us.

Affiliate links

Read our affiliate disclosure: it explains which links pay us, how much that changes what we recommend (nothing), and what we refuse to do.

If you buy something here

Our guides are documents, not services. A purchase licenses one person to read and use one; it does not license reselling, republishing or handing out copies.

The money goes through our payment processor to Fieldnote Guides, which is who is selling — so that is the name on the receipt. On your statement the charge reads FIELDNOTE GUIDES. Your card details stay with the processor and never touch this site. Access is instant: the payment clears, the document opens, and the link stays yours. Refunds covers the day it does not work.

Liability

The site is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from decisions you make based on our content. Nothing here limits a right of yours that cannot be waived.
